Information for rights holders

1. What this software is

eKoPlayer is a general-purpose media player, in the same sense as any other player installed on a computer or a television. It ships empty.

• This app does not provide or include any media content.
• Users must add their own content from authorized sources.
• This app has no affiliation with any third-party provider.
• This app is intended solely for streaming media the user has legal access to.

We operate no content servers, host no media, publish no playlists, index no sources and run no directory of providers. There is nothing on any system of ours to take down, because there is nothing on any system of ours to begin with — see the privacy policy for the complete list of what we store, which is a device identifier and a licence record.

2. What we can actually do

We would rather set out our real capabilities than imply more:

• We can end a licence. Where a court order, or a credible and specific complaint, establishes that a particular installation is being used to infringe, we can and will deactivate it.
• We can remove infringing material from our own website or store listings — text, images or anything else we publish.
• We cannot identify what any user is playing. The design does not record it and does not transmit it. This is not a refusal; the data does not exist.
• We cannot block a source. The player has no allowlist or blocklist of providers, and adding one would require us to build the tracking we deliberately do not have.

3. Sending us a notice

Write to contact@ekoplayer.com, or by post to the address below, marked for the attention of the Designated Agent. Please include:

• Your signature, physical or electronic, as the owner or an authorised agent.
• Identification of the work you say is infringed.
• Identification of the material complained of, and enough detail to locate it — for material we publish, its URL.
• Your address, telephone number and email address.
• A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
• A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act.

We acknowledge notices within 5 business days and act on complete ones promptly.

4. Counter-notice

If material of yours was removed or a licence ended and you believe that was a mistake, send a counter-notice to the same address with your identification of the material, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, your contact details, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district — or, if you are outside the United States, the District of Wyoming.

5. Repeat infringers

We terminate the licences of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances, to the extent our licensing records allow us to identify them.
