Install Downloader

Search the Amazon Appstore on your Fire TV for Downloader, by AFTVnews.

Allow it to install apps

Settings → My Fire TV → Developer options → Install unknown apps → turn on for Downloader. Fire OS asks this once.

You are installing software from outside a store, so you should be able to check it. Both numbers below are ours, and neither can be forged without our signing key.

For a few hours after a new release our CDN may still hand out the previous build, in which case this number will not match and nothing is wrong. The button above always fetches the current one. The signature beside this never goes stale and is the stronger check of the two.

Who signed it

Every build we publish is signed by PolarCurve LLC. Android checks this for you and refuses an update signed by anyone else, so a replaced file cannot install over ours.

From Google Play, when the listing is live. A Play install activates inside the app, through Google — nothing on this site applies to it.

In the meantime the sideloaded build above runs on Android TV as well. Use a file manager or Downloader, and allow installs from that app when the television asks.

eKoPlayer needs Android 7.0 or newer. Older devices are not supported and we would rather say so than take your money.

After it is installed

The app is empty. Add your own playlist under Settings → Source — the setup guides walk through both kinds.
